About Course

This course introduces the concept of functions, building on students’ knowledge of linear and quadratic relationships. Students will explore the properties of discrete and continuous functions, including trigonometric and exponential functions. They will learn to represent functions numerically, algebraically, and graphically, solve real-world problems using functions, investigate inverse functions, and simplify algebraic expressions. Throughout the course, students will develop mathematical reasoning and communicate their thinking while solving multi-step problems.

What Will You Learn?

  • Understanding Functions: Explore the properties of discrete and continuous functions, including trigonometric and exponential functions.
  • Representing Functions: Learn to express functions numerically, algebraically, and graphically.
  • Applications of Functions: Solve real-world problems using function concepts and models.
  • Inverse Functions: Investigate inverse functions and their properties.
  • Algebraic Skills: Develop proficiency in simplifying and transforming equivalent algebraic expressions.
